Sewing For Fundraising

Welcome to Sew & Support, a one-week day camp where young makers stitch for smiles and change the world—one creation at a time! Campers will dive into colorful fabrics and fun notions as they design and sew imaginative projects: from quirky stuffed pals and fabric wallets to cheerful tote bags and handmade bookmarks. Each morning kicks off with a creative brainstorming session where campers choose their cause—whether it’s protecting animals, cleaning up local parks, or supporting food banks—and sketch ideas for items they’ll craft to fundraise for that nonprofit.

Afternoons are all about hands-on skills and real-world lessons: campers learn basic stitches and machine sewing techniques, track material costs, set budgets, and practice pricing their finished goods. At week’s end, we host a lively “Market Day” booth where each camper presents their creations, pitches their cause, and sees firsthand how their hard work translates into fundraising success. By the final stitch, participants will not only master sewing fundamentals but also gain confidence in entrepreneurship, teamwork, and giving back—making Sew & Support the perfect camp for socially conscious creatives!
